Food Wastage Counter

Ok, here it is finally!!
After following and telling everybody to be conscious on how much food you are wasting I finally decided to make it counted atleast in my life.

I am announcing the official launch of Food Wastage Counter today; i.e. 17th April 2011.
And I already have a count of !
Current counter value: 1 (y'day I bought veg kabab near china town, melbourne in a hurry as I was rushing to watch "Teen Maar" movie of pawan kalyan's; I just had a single bite of the kabab and that's it I had to leave it, it's an error in judgement but that's fine I would definitely take care next time not to buy something new when you are in a hurry)

Counter value: 2
day before y'day, i.e. 22nd April,'11 on Good Friday, we went to Vietnamese restaurant where we ordered chicken/prawn paper rolls and other food as well.
One has left his Tofu/jasmine rice in the middle saying he feels ulti coming.
Then the other one left his chicken curry half, another one left 10% of his plate;
Another of the group left the paper roll half eating
Now its my chance, though I've completed my grilled chicken rice and coconut juice, I couldn't eat the paper roll, i've completed one full with difficulty but left the 1 piece.

Counter value: 3
Time: a couple of hours ago on 7th may, 2011.
place: Tandoori times, 194, barkley street, st. kilda road, melbourne, Australia
we went four, not left much but the guy who always wastes food left the food today as well.
My ex-manager left a little bit on this plate.
My roommie completed full
And I've left 2-3 spoons of steam rice in the bowl, though it doesn't come under my count but I've ordered the steam rice.
Food was pathetic, to all Indians out there please don't go here: the rates as pretty low so the food quality.
Tandoori prawns were n't like prawns.
punjabi dhal thadka was good.
Chilli bowl was too spicy, it has red chilli beans sprinkled on it.
this place doesn't need a review, its thumbs down.

Counter value: 4
Time: y'day afternoon, around 1-2PM, i.e. 14th may 2011
place: Tandoori curry bar, opp. Ohm, elizabeth street, melbourne, Australia
We all(me, new roommie and my ex-manager) ordered veg combos.
I've completed my plate full, not wasting anything.
My new roommie who always wastes food did this time as well, on top of the combo he took additional rotis, he ate rotis but wasted 40% of the rice on his plate; the wasted items include some daal and curry.
My ex manager wasted a little bit of curry and dal, can say 10-15%.

Counter value:5
Time: Friday night around 8 PM, RM hotel on elizabeth street, on 20th may 2011
My roommie as usual finished his food as well as I.
The one who always wastes food wasted this time, around 10-15%.
My ex manager wasted around 10-15% of the curry.
To specify it the food was one of the worst of its kind, its a strict no go to this place.

Counter vaue: 6
Time: 1 PM, Noodle Kingdom, Russell street, melbourne, AUS
the place is a disgusting one, no one cares what you want, the waittresses don't understand english, god saves the english speaking people who goes to this place. Though most of the people are chinese so it doesn't make much difference to their business.
So obviously I can't discuss with the waittress as she doesn't understand a thing.
so I ordered Mutton stews with Rice, hot&sour soup and my roommite ordered veg hot and sour noodles.
We had to beg and request for water, spoon and forks and finally we had everything to eat. But look at the mutton, its mostly mutton fat and bones, there's nothing left to eat for me, i struggled to seperate fat and the actual mutton but vexed and just left it after eating a couple of pieces with white rice and some greens. The hot, sour soup was ok kind though I found the taste a bit odd.
so I almost left the mutton pieces but completed most of the white rice, i left 1/8 of the soup though. My roommie who always wastes is no exception this time though credit goes to him to complete most of his ordered food. The item he ordered was brought in a huge bowl which actually seemed to be for 2 people. Thanks to his appetite he was able to complete 3/4th of his food.
That's it, thumbs down for this restaurant and never again try a chinese restaurant with cheap rates :)

Counter value 8(7+1)
Date: 11th June, '11, venue : room no. 1310, unilodge, i.e. my room
I have wasted dish full of Red lentils curry, so bad on my part always boasting of being an activitist etc etc.
No sorry with this act I now fail to be called an activist :(
Pity, how could I just leave the curry to detiorate, i prepared the curry on sat afternoon a bit more assuming my roommies would share the dish but that didn't happen even on sunday as well and I fail to refrigerate it.
By monday morning the curry was with white foam and pungent foul smell. It feels bad to throw away something we all relish to eat. I am so so sorry.
Despite my above experience I prepared yellow lentils curry on the same day which I refrigerated properly and ate for two days(suffered bloating due to this :)) but finally couldn't do and had to throw away a little(not much but one lunch plate serving), another mistake.
With two back to back mistakes the counter now stands at 8.
